Hello soap lovers!
Just wanted to let everyone know that our lovely Andrea is doing makeovers in the St. John’s store on Saturdays from 11 to 3. You can call the store and book an appointment or you can just drop in! She can lend a hand to those of you who just need help picking our your colours, too!
You can call and book your appointment at 579-7627.
We have been working on lipsticks for quite some time now, and we are finally getting close to launching time! Erica has created two shades of red that are really amazing, one cooler and one warmer. I love them both, and I think these shades will look good on everyone! Here is me, wearing the warmer red of the two:
The renos are really coming along! Everyone has worked so hard and we are practically all done! The working area is really organized and better planned, with two work stations, separate island for bottling and another station for labeling. And all in stainless steel. Love!!
Here are some images from the past couple of days (we all pitched in as you can see!)
Well, we are pooped! Today was the first day of our renos of the St. John’s shop. Me, Klara, Jase, Andrea and Julia put up shelves, moved around boxes, reorganized and cleared out old unwanted stuff. It felt SO good! I had Klara in her BabyBjörn the whole day except for her naps that she took in her stroller. She was so good, never cried for the whole 8 hours! I think it was a fun break for her, new things to look at!
Tomorrow we will get our stainless steel counters delivered. Can’t wait! Or actually I can wait. Until tomorrow. Becuase now I am pooped. Time to lay down on the couch with Klara and watch game six between Pittsburg and Montreal. Go Habs!!
I have gathered some ideas that make beautiful gifts for mom on Sunday!
Apricot Freesia Aroma Mist – This blend of soft florals and juicy fruit is just beautiful! Mom can use this mist to lightly mist her skin or her surroundings. It is even mild enough to use on the face as a little “pick me up”.
Lilac Blossom Bath Salt – Soon to be in bloom, the most wonderful flowers in the world. Our Lilac scent is so realistic you will think you are surrounded by lilac trees. Taking a bath with this bath salt will make the whole house lightly scented with lilac blossoms.
Patchouli Rose Bath Treat – A dreamy blend that makes a wonderfully moisturizing bath. I find this scent combination very relaxing.
Morning Dew Body Butter – A best selling scent for many years, and it is liked by both men and women. A citrus base with rose and some green notes. This will be perfect to keep by the bed and use on any dry areas, including hands.
Golden Olive Face Serum – If your mom really deserves something special, give her a bottle of Golden Olive serum. This is the bees knees! Golden Olive does wonders on all skin types. Your mom’s skin will be radiant, smooth and glowing with health.
Pink Peony Soap – Our newest member in the original line, but some of you may remember this scent in our cake soaps a couple of years ago. It is such a soft, fresh and pretty floral scent. Mom will love it!
Survival Kit – If you want to treat your mom to a bit of everything, I recommend our survival kit this month! She will get one each of almost all our new products, and at a great discount to boot!
If you have read this far here is a little coupon for you:
Spend $50 or more on mom between now and Sunday May 9th, and you will get a 15% discount on your entire purchase! Use the following code when checking out: ILOVEMOM
Our local customers can print out and bring in this portion to the shop and you will get the same discount! (or if you have a smart phone you can just show us this bit on your phone, and we save some paper!)
We are so excited to read the Smink review by talented makeup artist Tracy Peart! Tracy works at City TV, on the Breakfast Television and Cityline. Pop on over to her blog to see what our makeup look like on Dina Pugliese and Tracy Moore! And don’t miss the earlier blog entry where Tracy describes the makeup she did for Dina when she hosted the Oscar de la renta’s runway show in Toronto! Gorgeous!!
It’a raining raining raining here in St. John’s, so I love my bright yellow nails even more today! This is Orly’s “spark”. As all yellows I know of it takes three layers to get an even finish, but it stays on for a full five days before chipping. I used a glitter polish on top, an old bottle I picked up at H&M many years ago.
